The Curriculum
Earn 45 credits through rigorous core courses, extensive and exciting electives, and career-focused training programs.
Accelerators and Immersion Program
The program begins with accelerators in July 2025, building your foundation in essential business skills including accounting, data analysis, and Python programming. This is followed by a mandatory 2-credit Immersion Week in early August 2025, which includes in-person orientation activities.

How you will study
The Part-Time MBA program at HKUST offers two flexible scheduling options, allowing you to choose between weekly or biweekly classes to best fit your professional commitments.
Part-Time Weekly
Classes are mainly held on a weekly basis
Electives are on weekday evenings and Saturdays and Sundays
Core courses are mainly held on Saturdays
Selected elective options are available at HKUST’s downtown campus
Part-Time Bi-Weekly
Core courses and electives are mainly held in the daytime on alternate weekends (both Saturday and Sunday)
On-campus accommodation is available at the HKUST Conference Lodge (subject to availability, additional charges apply), offering a serene and conducive environment
You may choose to take weekday electives in the evening if your schedule permits
Complimentary transportation will be provided for Bi-Weekly classes between key locations including Shenzhen Bay Border, West Kowloon HSR Station, and Fanling Station (pickup locations subject to change)

The exchange program promotes cultural and international exposure; therefore, some of our partner universities do not allow visiting students to return to their home country during the exchange program. Partner universities reserve the right to defer to the government and to public health authorities regarding the exchange program. Should the need arise, a remote, virtual exchange program may be offered. All exchange program offerings and arrangements (virtual or physical classes) are subject to change and availability.
